Hi there!
Holidays are here
This means more revision, need to catch up
and more time to JAM
hehe...
Watch the movie Camp Rock last Sunday
I MUST say, its one of those movies that i WANT to watch over and over again.
Really memorable
Like A Walk To Remember.
Its a good movie
One of those that reminds you of something
This movie reminded me of my love for music, and guitar.
You see, the song in the movie; This Is Me
I did a cover on the song once.
In fact, this was the first song i remembered doing a cover for.
And it was done because of a friend request
Before she asked me, i had no idea of what Camp Rock was (other than it was a new movie)
She only sent me an Piano Version of the song to try and figure it out on the spot
Had to tell you
I played around with a few chords
coincidentally, i figured out the song, but i didn't know this cause i haven't heard the full version
I only found out later after i searched the net for the song, that i realised that the chords i tried the other day, were in the wrong order, but correct key.
Which was pretty close in figuring out a song.
Haha,
till now, i still think its the best cover i've done
although it isn't completed (cause my MP3 ran out of memory)
and i returned the capo (which is required for the song) to my senior.
so i can't do another cover.
Although i can try to transpose it. But the chords are too troublesome to switch efficiently
And as a downside, the capo also increases the pitch a little.
Anyway, back to the movie
I love the camp
If there were such a camp, where all I gotta do is to learn performing tricks, compose songs and jam all day
I WOULD GOsorta reminds me of the Church camp last year
Jamming in church at the camp for worship
i've yet to perform with a full band for non christian songs...
Hope to do it soon
Preferably, to perform on teacher's day performance.
I know i have my national exams this year
But i've already figure out the songs
I can already play the full song of Love Story (Including the Riffs),
So can my drummer
Vocalist, i've yet to find. But shouldn't be difficult.
I'm thinking of playing Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson too
Seeing its an easy song and virtually no riffs in that song.
As a plus, that song doesn't need much instruments to make it sound good.
I'm thinking of playing A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton too
But the Piano in the song is a problem
Its doesn't sound difficult, neither does it sound easy.
Our REALLY gifted keyboardist in church says he can't play it.
But he knows another church keyboardist who can play the song.
And the last song i'm thinking of, Maybe...Just maybe;
This is Me by Demi Lovato
This is sorta my trademark song... my Favourite to play on the guitar (besides Breakaway)
Its a great song too,
this one, has pretty much some problems
I can play the Intro, with some difficulty.
The bridge riff, i haven't tried figuring out
I don't know who's gonna sing Joe Jonas' part in the song
Maybe me, haha, i sing for church band
But if school's the type that's sensitive about voice sounding, then maybe not.
Awww man...
I gotta brush up my guitar skills
Wanna reach Lincoln Brewsters Skill level (gifted)
So Long Ciao
