I've Finally Completed Halo 3
August 24, 21 45 hours
YEAH!
Its such a dramatic ending,
expecially the part where Chief rescues Cortana.
And also when Chief fulfils Sergeant his death wish, by allowing him to die on the Ark instead of being brought back to Earth after being wounded by 343 Guilty Spark in a fight.
I'll put an extract of what I've played
Spartan T-93 Mission Log:Time 2008, August 24, (unknown time)Level: Halo - Control Room scene Spartan T-93 walks over to the entrance, the flood forms all falling around him. Rifle spitting out their armour piercing rounds at speeds of 15 rounds per second. Arbiter was by his side, taking down the Tank forms with the constant booming of his Fuel Rod Cannon.True, they were being overwhelmed. This was certainly one of the worst times they had faced the flood together, the last being the rescue of Cortana. T-93 was relieved to have her back, but still annoyed at her usual chatter. He deplyed his Automatic turret in desperation, trying hard to take advantage of his extra "ally" for just an extra minute. It took care of a few flood, long enough for both the Arbiter and the Spartan to reload their weapons. But their elation was short-lived, a regular combat form swung an arm and transformed their auto cannon into a pile of molten scrap. At this point, both were spraying the rounds all over the place in desperate counter-strike.However, the duo prevailed and the many flood forms that had tried to take their lives, lay dead at their feet. "C'mon you lub-lubbers! We got work to do!" Sgt. Johnson hollered from the doors that the group were so desperate to break through. 343 Guilty Spark hovered over and opened the doors with a short burst of its blue optical lasers. The doors opened and the duo trudged into, wary of anyone- thing waiting in ambush. The final door opened for them, and they stepped into beyond.Ahead of them, was the control room.Chief ejected Cortana's chip from his helmet and threw it towards Johnson. He then turned to guard the door."I'm not gonna lose her again...," he muttered as he walked over to the control panel._________________________________________________________________343 Guilty Spark trails over, it flared blue and announced in a happy tone:Oh! Hello! Wonderful news! The installation is almost complete!Johnson continues walking, "Terrific...""Yes, isn't it? I have begun my simulations. No promises, but initial testings have indicated that the facility will be ready to fire, in just a few more days!""We Don't have a few more days!" Johnson shot back."Bu..bu...But, a premature firing will destroy the Ark!""Deal with it""You destroy this installation..."_________________________________________________________________Chief was looking the other way, he never say it coming, until the very scream of Johnson told him that something was wrong. 343 Guilty Spark was now against them. His first instinct was to check on Johnson and to question Spark. He had no doubt that all his weapons would be ineffective on it. As proven on their first encounter. "Unacceptable! Absolutely unacceptable!" Spark was bellowing, it had taken a reddish glow.A red beam of light, as opposed to the blue one that 343 Guilty Spark normally used fired from its optical lasers and blasted the Spartan off his feet. His shields had been completely drained from that single attack and every muscle in his body burned."Protocol dictates action! I see now that helping you was wrong!"The Arbiter wanders round the corner, wondering what all the commotion was about. Spark blasts him to the ground. Chief attempts to stand, his armour still smoking from its recent beating.343 blasted him again. He dropped to one knee."You are a child of my makers, inheritor of all they left behind," 343 had turned back to blue,"You are, A Forerunner."Chief looked up, Spark was almost face to face with him. "But this Ring..." His colouring morphed to red,"is mine..."_________________________________________________________________343 Guilty Spark emitted a force field that shoved off the Spartan and the Arbiter off their feet. Both tried firing at the Monitor, which had no other effect other than a bemused response."Your weapons cannot harm me! I will not allow you to reach the activation panel!"Somewhere behind Spark lay Johnson. Using the remainder of his strength, he lifted up his Spartan Laser, and hefted it. "Not today sucka," he coughed.A bright red beam, similar to the one that the monitor had used on them blasted from the barrel of the Spartan Laser, stopping the monitors force field and knocking it to the ground."Here, take this," said Johnson, shoving the cannon into Chief's hands.Chief took hold of the Spartan laser, each shot took 20% of the battery and it required 5 seconds charging time. A laser sighting appeared and rested itself upon Spark.A single bright red beam erupted from the end and knocked 343 Guilty Spark to the ground, again. He started to get up when the 2nd blast knocked it onto the ground again. Spark managed to lift off the last time before the final red beam struck it dead center on its central eye. Spark gave one more high pitched scream before a bright blue explosion took it apart.343 Guilty Spark existed no more.Chief knelt down beside the dying Johnson. "C'mon, I'll get you outta here.""No, i want my final resting place to be here, send me out...with a bang. And chief, fulfil this one last promise..."Chief nodded."Promise...That there will be a sequel, that there will be a Halo 4... Let's start...another fight..."
