O Levels over... Prom Update
Tuesday, November 17, 2009

Haaha...
Hey,
O levels are over...

Now here's the weird part
I Don't feel free at all...
Strange isn't it?
To be told by your teacher's and friends and parents
To study hard, and play hard afterwards
But when its all over...
the only thing worth fighting for...
Freedom... Isn't there anymore

That's me...
*hope i'm not turning emo*
*like what Darren says " EMO kids don't get cuddling sessions*
(Sorry, inside joke)

YEah...
So i tried looking for a job today
several promising interviews...
Will tell you more next time

So....
Now, about the past few days
Not much
just looking for ads in the news paper
And...
er.
Xbox-ing... (Plenty!)
guitaring...
let's see...
Table tennis...
What else have i been doing?
Church
just plain reading...
haha

Like many people complain, its boring
But it ain't boring if you use your imagination =)
Creative and Flexible people do that... =)

Cool right?
Using your imagination... You can do ANYTHING!
but about prom...last night

Wished i left earlier...
Almost missed the last bus and train
haha

September...Teacher's Day
Tuesday, September 01, 2009

Whooo!!!
Teacher's day

i gotta say,
i'm pretty excited its September,
Haha, my birthday

MY 1st BIRTHDAY THAT I DID NOT CELEBRATE IN A BB CAMP FOR 3 YEARS!!!

exciting isn't it?

BTW, Halo: ODST is coming out on 22nd september!!!

haha...

teacher's day concert.
My friend thought it was awful
no offence, but for the Preamble, their lead singer was kinda nervous.
4E4's band, my friend thought they were better

It was only after i told him that he was like... " The Preamble's more experienced?"
His ears were like, bleeding after their performance, he said it was that awful... so sorry guys =(

I'll post more next time...
Prelims coming right up
GOD BLESS THOSE YFers TAKING O LEVELS THIS YEAR!!!
WE'RE GONNA MAKE IT!!!

august and...July
Saturday, August 01, 2009

Aw Crap
i didn't post for july
anyway...here's the big news

I've POPed
means Passing Out Parade
yep, i've passed out from my CCA
and from passed out, i don't mean faint

Its pretty sad, after you realise what the BB has done to your life for all this years
if i hadn't joined a UG...at least....i wouldn't know what kind of person i'd turn out to be now
Pampered? maybe...likely not.

Without BB, i wouldn't have known the church i attend now
It brought me back to my Christian Life
Pretty amazing
If God wants to save you, HE WILL.

yea

Anyway, i'm missing the BB already
A week away and i can't bear it
I'm actually bored.

Btw,
From the POP dinner
one of my seniors told me of someone who's selling a 2nd hand Epiphone AlleyKat
Wow

AlleyKats are known to be good enough to compete with high end Les Pauls.

I mean, an AlleyKat is a Semi Hollow electric
just like the DOT
But unlike the DOT, the base price is 800
this guy's selling it 500
Furthermore its an Korean made Alleykat
Only 1999 Epiphones are made in Korea, after that, all made in China
and china Epiphones are known to be awful, if not reliable

Its a really good buy
here's my problem
i don't know the condition of the guitar
and i don't have the cash now
therein, my demise...

*i seem to have a liking for Semi-Hollow Electrics...*

Hm,

oh, i'm not playing for teacher's Day anymore
don't think there's gonna be a band thing anyway

plus, i can play This Is Me now...hehe mastered the intro (actually, mastered it on the day i posted the last post)

Trying A Thousand Miles on Guitar now

Stuff
Tuesday, June 02, 2009

Hi there!

Holidays are here
This means more revision, need to catch up
and more time to JAM
hehe...

Watch the movie Camp Rock last Sunday
I MUST say, its one of those movies that i WANT to watch over and over again.
Really memorable
Like A Walk To Remember.

Its a good movie
One of those that reminds you of something
This movie reminded me of my love for music, and guitar.

You see, the song in the movie; This Is Me
I did a cover on the song once.
In fact, this was the first song i remembered doing a cover for.
And it was done because of a friend request

Before she asked me, i had no idea of what Camp Rock was (other than it was a new movie)
She only sent me an Piano Version of the song to try and figure it out on the spot
Had to tell you
I played around with a few chords

coincidentally, i figured out the song, but i didn't know this cause i haven't heard the full version

I only found out later after i searched the net for the song, that i realised that the chords i tried the other day, were in the wrong order, but correct key.
Which was pretty close in figuring out a song.

Haha,
till now, i still think its the best cover i've done
although it isn't completed (cause my MP3 ran out of memory)
and i returned the capo (which is required for the song) to my senior.
so i can't do another cover.
Although i can try to transpose it. But the chords are too troublesome to switch efficiently
And as a downside, the capo also increases the pitch a little.

Anyway, back to the movie
I love the camp
If there were such a camp, where all I gotta do is to learn performing tricks, compose songs and jam all day
I WOULD GO

sorta reminds me of the Church camp last year
Jamming in church at the camp for worship
i've yet to perform with a full band for non christian songs...
Hope to do it soon
Preferably, to perform on teacher's day performance.
I know i have my national exams this year
But i've already figure out the songs

I can already play the full song of Love Story (Including the Riffs),
So can my drummer
Vocalist, i've yet to find. But shouldn't be difficult.

I'm thinking of playing Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson too
Seeing its an easy song and virtually no riffs in that song.
As a plus, that song doesn't need much instruments to make it sound good.

I'm thinking of playing A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton too
But the Piano in the song is a problem
Its doesn't sound difficult, neither does it sound easy.
Our REALLY gifted keyboardist in church says he can't play it.
But he knows another church keyboardist who can play the song.

And the last song i'm thinking of, Maybe...Just maybe;
This is Me by Demi Lovato
This is sorta my trademark song... my Favourite to play on the guitar (besides Breakaway)
Its a great song too,

this one, has pretty much some problems
I can play the Intro, with some difficulty.
The bridge riff, i haven't tried figuring out
I don't know who's gonna sing Joe Jonas' part in the song
Maybe me, haha, i sing for church band
But if school's the type that's sensitive about voice sounding, then maybe not.

Awww man...
I gotta brush up my guitar skills
Wanna reach Lincoln Brewsters Skill level (gifted)

So Long Ciao

I Got GEARS OF WAR 2!!!
Wednesday, May 27, 2009

Hey guys
Its almost a picture perfect postcard.

Dear Sarge,

Kicking alien ass down on a distant underground location. Wish you were here. Blew up a Brumak today, lovely bloodbath, shot its brains out.

Love,
Sergeant Kirage

P.S. OH OH! We met a new boss, welding two chainsaws on a staff. Looks kinda weak...

Post of April...
Saturday, May 23, 2009

Hi guys,
I'm regular this time,
i try to churn out a post per month

I've decided, i'm getting the Epiphone DOT
the Les Paul Special II had the same rating and almost same problems as a Yamaha i borrowed from my senior. (Yes, i checked the reviews to compare them both)
Between that les paul and the Yamaha, i can't decide
and i don't really like the sound of the Yamaha.
Its good, but i've heard good guitars before, so no to this.

So i'm aiming for the DOT
it looks good too right?
the colour choices are:
Natural, Cherry Red, Black, Maybe blue...
